Who can be affected ?
- Kids below the age of 5 years.but in some parts even 9 year olds have been infected
How it Spreads??
It spreads mainly by contact similar to Hand Foot and Mouth disease.Young children are also prone to this infection through use of nappies, touching unclean surfaces, as well as putting things directly into the mouth.
Mimics symptoms of chikungunya which are :High FeverRashesIntense Joint Pain
1. No particular treatment exists but paracetamol can be given for fever.2. Isolation for 5-7 days3. Maintain proper hygiene and sanitisation4. Prevent sharing of toys & clothes
